Il let you in on a little secret of mine – I’m obsessed with table linens.
I love hosting home and garden soirees, any excuse for me to show my creative side by setting all my seasonal table linens. When guests arrive, I like seeing their faces light up and hearing them say – Wow.

My favourite colours are inspired by nature and the surrounding outdoors, Greens and Neutral always win me over. So I incorporate these colours to my table scapes. I bring my personalty to the table by adding additional decor, it doesn’t always need to be functional, display pieces or useful items such as salt and pepper mills, candle sticks and of course a much needed centre piece such as an eye catching vase with beautiful faux stems. (Il be honest, I’m not a fan of real flowers at the table, don’t know why just not for me).

I alway like to play around with fabric textures and layer them together to elevate the table linen. I pick a main base cloth colour and then add complimenting colours, textures and style to bring it all together. Im never afraid to mix and match designs.
Nothing says special occasion more than a quality crisp and clean tablecloth. I make my own table cloths and I allow a fall of at least 15 / 20 cm evenly around all sides.
Equally as an important are quality fabric napkins. I make these either out of the matching base cloth as the table cloth or a contrasting high quality fabric. Napkins can set the tone when you play around with creative shapes. The bow is always a great conversation maker. I like to use matching napkin holders, placemats and drink mats.
Collect pieces for your table scape and add layers, textures and heights. Show case your personality at your next soiree.
